While working on the shop floor in my niche retail business in 2004, it was easy to get customer feedback while we had one store. We were able to react quickly and deliver our customers exactly what they wanted. But as the operations increased from one shop to five in the first 12 months I found myself getting increasingly distanced from the trading floor and real-time feedback about what my customers wanted, and how we could improve their shopping experience. This is where the idea of SurveyMe was born, although the technology didn't exist until I saw the iPhone and I knew that apps would be the future.

I knew what I wanted was a customer experience management system where any of my team, anywhere in the business, at any point, could check in on how much our customers were enjoying their precious time with us. More importantly, it would allow us to efficiently respond to our customers’ needs.

In 2008-09 I witnessed so many businesses, that didn’t proactively listen to their customers, fail. By that time smart phone technology had advanced sufficiently for me to translate the idea into a customer experience management tool that is affordable and available to all businesses, so helping them improving their customer experience as I had wanted to when I was growing my retail business.

Having worked in the hospitality industry for several years I know how important it is to have an easy way for customers to give feedback about their experience. I had used both comment cards and online surveys. However, there were limitations with both these methods - usually time or money spent printing cards, inputting data and not getting all the feedback due to ‘human intervention’. This is why we wanted to change the future of feedback forever.

I am passionate about businesses being in control of the information they can get from customers and employees.

Both feedback systems were fallible so in 2009 when Lee explained the SurveyMe concept, I immediately realised the time was right for us to pursue our dream of creating SurveyMe and helping businesses improve their customer’s experience. And so our adventure began .....

Penelope has an extensive background in Marketing, Sales, Trainer and Customer Service, working for some of the big UK companies, including HSBC, British Gas, British Telecom.
Since coming to America, she ran a successful Theatre Arts company and is co-owner of a promotional products company – Giraffe Promotions.

In her ‘off time’, Penelope volunteers as a youth counsellor, lay marriage & family counsellor, community events, Chamber board member, theatre arts director, camps and travels. She is married to Glen (for 27yrs) with two adult sons & daughter in law.

John has been active in the retail/restaurant & content creation environments for over twenty years implementing, migrating and analyzing data for the sole purpose of managing & sustaining business growth. This use to be a daunting and at times painful process which at best provided inaccurate/incomplete data. SurveyMe provides all that you require via mobile app with rewards, meaning you can look forward to your future business growth with real time data of your customers experience and feedback for improvement. Ethan graduated from Cal State Fullerton with a degree in journalism and a minor in Radio-TV-Film. He found work out of college as a caption editor for television and movies before deciding to join Lee and Nicola at SurveyMe as a content creator. In his free time he works on a video game website, Pixel Legends, and enjoys playing board games with friends and family. He’s also a huge mac & cheese enthusiast.

Amber always had a passion for design and has pursued that passion in all areas of her life. She believes in using bold, eye-catching graphics to create clean design to easily convey information to customers. After graduating from Chapman University with a BFA in graphic design, Amber has worked with various clients as a freelancer and spent the last four years working in the nutritional supplement industry. In her free time she donates her design talents and time to her church.

Jen Bogue is a Customer Experience Specialist at SurveyMe, where she helps clients have a positive experience by effectively understanding the feedback of their customers and employees. She graduated from Cal State Fullerton with a Bachelor's Degree in Communication. For over 8 years, Jen has used her knowledge to manage and train Sales and Customer Service teams. 

 

In her free time, she has helped plant a church in Mission Viejo, enjoys playing piano, and traveling. She resides happily in Orange County with her husband and German Shepherd pup.

I graduated Pepperdine University in California and founded the Women’s Partnering Network. I enjoy living in southern California with my husband Mark and I’m the proud mother of two children and 7 grandchildren. I enjoy running, cycling, swimming, playing with our dogs and going on trips in our RV.
